New Chapter in our Lives
Last month Harold got a call from Robert Broulim the owner of Broulim's grocery stores. He had been checking Harold out for quite some time and asked him to come interview for a management position in one of thier stores with the possibility of Upper Management position later. So for the past month he has met with all their upper management and took the position.
This comes right at 35 years with Smiths. WOW. He actually started working at the Rigby store last week to get oriented. This Wednesday is Harolds 35 year dinner and award ceremony, and on Friday he will turn in his notice. We feel good about the move. He is losing quite a few perks from Smiths that he will miss but onward and forward we go......

Missionaries for Dinner
Since Harolds new calling as Ward Mission Leader we have had the blessing of having dinner with the Missionaries and have them in our home quite often. Elder Egbert has been transferred to Rigby and now we have Elder Thomas on the right and Elder Haws on the left. They are a lot of fun. They came for dinner Saturday after our candy making. I fed them the rest of the soup and made them rolls and Cinnamon Rolls and Elder Thomas got the pecan bars. We ate with the Spanish and our elders at Onda K's house on Wednesday and I asked our Elders what kind of pie they like because they are coming over for pie on Thanksgiving after their dinner date with another family in the Stake. Pecan and cherry. Sounds easy enough.
WE LOVE OUR MISSIONARIES!!!!!

Candy day with Robin and her Momma
Thanks Robin and mom! Had a great day! We made so much candy! I made pecan bars, toffee and rocky road fudge. Mom made 2 batches of rice krispies, Robin made baked carmel popcorn and Chris made Lemon Fudge. MMMMMMMM it was all so good!
I made Zuppa Tosconna soup and they brought the rosemary bread and we had lunch together then after the candy was all done we sat and just visited. What a fun day!

Daisy
Daisy is our cow that has had 2 near death experiences from when she was a calf. We just love her. She has had 3 pregnancies, and the first 2 she lost early. She finally had her baby!!!! It was interesting to watch her with her first two. You could tell how she nuzzled the babies that she just wanted them to be alive and she wanted to mother them. At one point she had tears weaping out of her eyes. She was pretty happy to finally get her baby!!

It's that time of year
It seems when it starts to get cold and I need to build a fire its time for the Christmas tree to come out! Harold asked me to go somewhere this morning and I told him I was busy. When he walked in the house a little later I was in the middle of putting up the tree. His comment is " Oh I see why you didn't come with me". Oh well. We do love the tree and the atmosphere it brings into the house!
