Our baby and the broken leg
Petunia had a baby this year and two days after she had her she stepped on her leg and broke her leg. Funny story though. The day that we found out she had her calf Harold ran over to see the it. He didn't really look at it but just assumed that it was a bullcalf. We all thought it was a HE. The next day Jessica and I were out checking on the baby and all of a sudden we see her peeing. At the time I didn't think anything of it. Later that night I was in bed. As I thought about the baby and where it was peeing from I realized "THAT IS NOTa bullcalf. So later that day you Jes and I went to check on her and she again started to pee, I told Jes to grab her phone and take a picture and text it to her dad. He was very HAPpY it was a girl!
Harvest
I had gone to visit with Clinton and Rachel for a few days and was hoping the rain would hold off for a little longer. We were waiting for the guy with the combine to be able to get in our field and we knew the storm was coming so we were very anxious to get the crop off. It started to rain the day I came home from Clintys house and continued, we had to wait 3 weeks to harvest! We had sprouting in the heads and lost a huge amount in this crop this year. But we finally got it combined and here are a few pictures of Jes driving dad's truck to the grainery . Curtis was home from Colorado so he was able to drive Darrel's semi for us too.

Visit to Logan
I made a little visit to see Clinty and Rachel and ended up staying two nights. I had a great time with them.

Ambulance ride
Took mom to the cabin for a week. We left on Tuesday the 16h of Sept and came home the following Monday. It was quite eventful Thursday mom had a mini heart attack and took a ride in the ambulance to Boise to St. Alphonses Hospital. So we ended up staying the whole day they finally released her about 8 o'clock that night and we decided to drive on back up to the cabin and we got there about 10 PM . Friday we were supposed to meet Marian for lunch but no answer on the telephone and we found out later Friday evening late that she had passed away. That was really hard in mom especially since she was already very weak from her heart episode. The one happy spot though was that we got a phone call from Naomi asking us if we wanted to ride with her friend to church on Sunday and I asked mom if she was feeling up to it and she decided that she would if if Naomi were to go with us so on Sunday she and her friend picked us up and we went down to Garden Valley for church and stayed for sacrament meeting. It was wonderful. The plan was to stay till Tuesday but since we did not know whether they were going to have a memorial service for Marian that week we decided to come home on Monday to be able to prepare to take another trip to Boise later in the week. As it happened she did not have a will so the state took over. And it's been 3 weeks since she passed away. Her cousin told mom since it's been so long since her passing they wouldn't be having a service . His has been quite a blow for mom. She is the surviving friend of the original seven friends that they started school tigether in first grade.
One of the highlights of this week though was that on Sunday mom was feeling well enough to go to church and we had mentioned it to Naomi ( she is inactive ) . She called us on Saturday night and said a friend of hers was going down to Garden Valley for church and would love to give us a ride, so I told her that we would love to go but since we didn't know her we would love for Naomi to go along so it wouldn't be uncomfortable for any of us ( heeheehee great way to have Naomi come to church with us).

Fall drive to Jackson

Mom loves the Fall colors so Jes and I took mom for a Fall drive up the Hoback and into Jackson. She wasn't feeling too well but we took her walker which she used and did great. We got some old fashioned photos taken and had lunch and enjoyed our day together. We had lunch at Bubba's Barbeque, it was yummy. Walked into a few shops and had the picture taken.
