Sitting on the Mailbox

Still just waiting! My stomach is upset about that big white envelope that will soon show up in our mailbox. Clinton is anxious. Mindi is ready for him to be out, the sooner he gets out there the sooner he gets home she says. Jes's girls are already in tears! It will be such a wonderful and sad time for our family. We will miss him so much!

Easter

This past weekend was Easter. It was an emotional one not only for all the thoughts of our Savior who we celebrate the occasion for but our neighbor Bart Weekes passed away on Friday in an avalanche. Thoughts are always turned to our own experience when there is a death close to us. And not to mention the memory of our dear friend Rick Clayton who also died in an avalanche a year before our own Jennifer left this life. Its amazing how a wash of emotion and memories are restored immediatly after learning of the death of a dear one. I am in awe of the deep feelings of sorrow one can experience in such times. Makes me think of the wonderful plan of happiness that our Father in Heaven has offered us and how grateful I am for that plan that we may know the good from the evil and the joy from the sorrow, even thought the sorrows can be devistating! I am so very blessed to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and the knowledge that we will see our loved ones again one day. This earthly seperation is hard but can you imagine the reunion that it will be when I get to hold my Jennifer in my arms again and cry into her beautiful blond hair!

JESSICA KATHLEEN JONES JACOBSON

This is my sweet daughter Jessica Kathleen. She is an amazing daughter, mother, sister and wife. Jes is the (now) oldest of our children. She does so much for me and her dad. They only live a half a mile away from our home and that is such a blessing to us. She is my back up grocery store, my shopping buddy, my babysitter, my shoulder to cry on, my scrapbooking buddy, my backup maid, my confidant, my blog manager, my daughter. I am so proud of her and her efforts to stay home and raise her children! Kyle works so hard and I appreciate him so much for allowing her to do just that! She is an amazing, strong willed, self confident, self assured, talented, beautiful woman.
Jes does so much for me I can't even begin to list it all. Mostly she takes care of Jack while we are all at work. She is teaching him so well and loves him like her own. Words can not express my gratitude and appreciation to you Jes for your hard work in his behalf. I know you have your hands full with your own and its not easy to have an extra child around ALL the time but THANK YOU so much for doing it. You truely show Christlike love by sharing your home and yourself so unselfishly with him!
I love you.

Jack and the Pizza

Smile for Grandma Jack...................................... THAT IS THE FIRST TIME HE HAS EVER SMILED FOR THE CAMERA!
Jack is starting to say and repeat LOTS of words now. Curtis brought pizza home last night and Jack was so excited, " pizza,,,,,,,,pizza,,,,,,,,,pizza" So here is Jack and his pizza!
Such a goof ball!
