Moms 85th Birthday

I didn't think mom would make it to her 81st birthday let alone her 85th!  But the Lord has blessed us with her sweet presence.  I always try to make her life events special for her even tho dad isn't here to share them with her!  But my kids are such wonderful people and ALWAYS come to make moms special days even more special!!  Happy Birthday MOM!  We love you!!!!

Cache Valley Rodeo in Tremonton

Last year mom and I were on our way home from the eye doctor in SLC and stopped in Tremonton to attend the Rodeo with Clinty and Rachel.   It was the BEST rodeo I ever seen.  So this year we made the trip with Curtis and Kalen.  Rachels family came too and her mom brought her mom so the two little grandmas sat together in their wheelchairs and enjoyed each others company.  They were so cute.  

Then we spent the night with Clinty and Rachel and went to this wonderful place up Logan Canyon for breakfast.  We had a great time.

Solar Eclipse

So the Solar Eclipse was a BIG deal around here.  I don't remember how long its been since there was an eclipse here so the hype for this was MONTHS in the making.  They planned on a half a million people coming in for this thing.  I wasn't too excited about it and really didn't plan on watching it.  Harold brought us some glasses home so mom and I decided to go out on the back deck and watch.  I am so glad I did!  It was just such an emotional and spiritual event.  The thought of Gods hand in the universe was so evident during this beautiful event!

KayLyn runs Cross Country

KayLyn ran cross country all year.  Its was hard to see her work so hard but she loves it.  It is such a great personal sport for her!

She started practicing before school started and I helped shuttle her to and from her practices.  Then Jes and I went to her meets.  I only missed a couple.  Love my KIDS!!!

Yard work

I love to make my yard beautiful in the summer.  I really enjoy mowing and planting flowers.  I never thought when I was raising kids on Birch Creek road that I would ever say those words.  But I guess its true what they say, there is a season for everything!  This is my season for a beautiful yard and a clean house!
