Human Checkers

Jes came up with the idea to play human checkers at a YM YW activity. So I picked up the fabric, she cut out the squares and I sewed it all together. It was really fun.

I am a facebook junkie

I got a facebook account and I have to say that IT IS SO FUN!!!!! I was so excited because I had 8 friends when I got to work this morning and now I have 18! Its so fun to find people that I have lost contact with. It is very addictive. I am becoming like Jes. Robin my friend and office partner is the same way. We have been facebooking all morning. She said a few minutes ago "This is why I never sign into facebook at work". Yup. Good thing it is a very slow day!!!!!

My house smells

Well. I did something really dumb. How many of you are surprized??????

Yesterday Robin was home from work and so Harold and I were at the office and Clinton was home sick.. I went home at 11:00 and checked on him and Harold got swamped at work so I decided to pop a pot of soup on the stove and leave it while Clinty was home sleeping and head back into town to help him..... I get a call from him on my way home telling me that "Whatever you had on the stove is BURNED and the house stinks." So I am thinking, ok, I will open some windows and fix it. I walked into the house and it hit me in the face, IT IS SOOOOOOOO Bad. I thought about calling a restoration company. ITs that bad. Well, I am sure it will take days to dissapate and I am in for a lot of washing. Clinton already brought all his bedding to me this morning. So I guess you know what I will be doing

Is my life boring?

We got new computers at the office with VISTA on them. I don't know if I like it or not. It gives me palpatations because when I scan documents in I must first make a copy of the document as dark as the printer will make it and then I am able to scan the document into the system. EVERYTIME ...I must go through this process, making it take twice as long to do one job. BUT when I have a blond moment and forget that I must go through my little process it makes it four times as long to do one little job. I know some of you are going "what the crap is she talking about". OH well I have vented and now I feel much better, Thank you.

I was really wondering what I was thinking when I got licenced and started working everyday. I have to admit I love being here. I miss being at home and taking care of things there. It makes it much harder to keep up everything there, but it really is rewarding to be a working woman at this time in my life. I am glad I did it "now", with Clinton so busy in his activities after school, he is hardly ever at home until about 5:00 anyway.

I think I mentioned that he got his acceptance letter from Uof. He received his Scholarship award the other day. $ 9000.00 for two semesters. YEA!!!! and they are waiving the out of state tuition. Wow, I am having a hard time believing that my baby is ready to graduate from High School and head to college.

Jan 14

I was doing the Grandma thing last night watching Eli for Aubrie while she was at school. He was such a good boy, but he is gigantic! I am just wondering how Aubrie packs this kid around. He should be packing her around. I am guessing by the time he is a year and a half, he will be as big (or as small, depends on how you think about it) as she is. He does have lots of growing to do to catch up with his daddy ( all 6 foot 7 inches of him.)
On goes the effort of college preparation for Clinton. He has been accepted to ISU and Uof U and we are now working on Scholarship stuff. Its coming awfully fast!!!!!!!! I am not ready. I have a friend who's son is going to BYU Idaho and she told me last Sunday that she had to kick her son out and send him to the dorms at the university for both of their sake's because she "Cannot go on his mission with him". So I got to thinking ...................and asked Clinty on the way home from Church Sunday if maybe the Church will change its policy and send moms out with their sons!!!!! Sounds like a great idea to me, ..................................................but not to Clinty. He told me so! I am feeling a little premature emptynestness. Is that even a word? It is now.

Happy New Year

And life goes on. Wow, what a stressful holiday. I won't go into details but one of the crazy things that went on was that our office partner and dear friend Gary Hoyt passed away right after Christmas. Very unexpectantly! We had hopes of sharing our office with him and Robin for many years. Robin, his secretary and who is first and foremost his sweet daughter is taking over his business, so we are trying to make things easier for her in the transition. She is doing great, she has great strength! She is an amazing woman. Gary was one of the kindest men I have ever met. Very thoughtful of others with many many Christlike quailities. We will miss him terribly.
And life goes on. Clinton is getting acceptance letters from some of the colleges he has applied for. I am not ready for this!!!!! He is though. The time is just sweeping away. Soon he will be in his first semester and soon after he will be putting in his papers for his mission. Can you believe it? I can't. He is getting really tired of High School. He is a great kid!!!!
I wish my life was more exciting so I could blog every day or so about all the stuff going on in my life. I wish this were available when my kids were young because I would have had LOTS to blog about. Life was certainly jumping back then.

And life goes on.
