The end of another year.

Good bye 2015

Well another year has come and gone.  So quickly do the days go by for us.  It seems just like yesterday that we were living on Birch Creek with  6 precious children.  Now here we are with 16 grandkids and blessed with such wonderful children in law!!!!  Thank you all for all you have done for us this past year, for the visits to Big Grandma, for dinners and laughter and love!

Mom has a heart attack.

Mom started having chest pain Thursday evening. It started about 6:00 as we were sitting down for dinner. Her first pain started in and I ran upstairs to grab her nitro and gave her one and I was ready to call the ambulance when it finally started to ease off. Then after an hour and a half we took her upstairs and I began helping her into bed and another one hit. This one was a little worse than the first and by 7:30 or 8 we had the ambulance coming.   We were in the emergency room for about 3 hours and Dr Lassiter wanted to keep her over night.  She had no pain in the emergency room. Then they took her to her room on the 4th floor and had her walk from the gurney to her bed and another one hit. This time it was horrible!  I felt she was very close to loosing consciousness. Her pain was excruciating!  I was so worried that I was going to loose her on that one. The dr hadn't given orders for any medication so the nurse couldn't give her any nitro or anything. She was frantically trying Dr Lassiters number and was dialing it wrong for about 10 minutes.  Finally another nurse came in and called and got a hold of him and he ordered morphine  and nitro and after another 5 minutes and struggling to breath among the pain she started to relax and it started to subside. I just knelt and prayed for Father to take her quickly if it was His will that she leave us at that time. She had some restless sleep for a couple of hours and then another on hit just as bad as the last but with the morphine given immediately it didn't last as long as the last. She fell back asleep and anther one hit at 5:30. She had a horrible night. I was so worried and felt so incredibly helpless there was nothing I could do to comfort her!  She had an angiogram about 2 and no blockages were found. She didn't have anymore chest pains but all 3 brothers decided they better come so by 8 that evening they were all here. Dave spent the night with her that night and was able to visit with Dr Lassiter in the morning and finally got out of home that it was in fact a heart attack.
We just spent our time in the room with her. Saturday night we had the opportunity to spend a couple of hours just the four of us and mom visiting, laughing and crying and reminiscing bat dad. Then mike suggested a blessing and Dave gave her such a beautiful blessing.

Sunday morning we were anticipation her coming home so we all went back to the hospital. There was a bad storm coming so Dave left at 9. Dan and is family left at 10 and mike and Kathy were gone by 11:30. We didn't get mom home until 2:30 or 3.  I put her to bed and we all took a three hour nap!
Just grateful we still have her here with us!

Thanksgiving 2015

This year we just had Lissy and her family and Curtis and Kalen.  Small but so fun. Always yummy food!!  Curtis  and Kalen left early to go to her families dinner and Lissy's family stayed until late. Love having my kids at home with us!!!  I cut back on the food, pies and everything.  I find the older we get the less we eat.  We still had pies left over!

My dining room wall

All ready for Thanksgiving. My wall in the dining room.   LOVE IT.  I have been wanting to do something with this wall for years now and couldn't come up with or find a saying I liked.  Then we had moms cousin Dewey and his son Daniel and daughter Robin over for breakfast earlier this year and Dan brought a serving plate with this saying on it.  I fell in love with it and decided it would be perfect for our dining room wall.

Love our Alli Girl!!!!

Tree topper for the tree downstairs.

My Christmas tree topper in the basement. I love my daddy's fishing hat!  I saved his hat from the garage when we were cleaning out the house and moving mom here with us.  I always loved seeing dad in this dirty old thing that was so much a part of him.  I think it is at home at the top of my tree!

Eye appointment

Mom has been sent to SLC to the University of Utah Eye Center for her eyesight. This is a test they did in her. Those are contacts with leeds to measure something.  It was pretty SyFi looking so I took a picture so she could see it too.

First Class

This is the only time I'll be in first class.
This was at the hospital getting moms blood work done and it was raining so the shuttle came by and he had a sign in the front door that said. "First Class". So we thought we'd take a selfie of it.

Dave ordained a High Priest

Dave was called to the High Council and we all drove up to Great Falls and were able to participate in his ordination. Mike ordained him. Saturday afternoon the  guys went to a Priesthood training meeting and we girls went shopping before the adult meeting. We went to a cute little chocolate shop and a darling tea shop. We tried on these cute hats and the shopkeeper took our picture. The evening meeting was wonderful. The General Authority who came was so good.  Sunday we all got dressed and went to conference with Dave and Jan. Davies ordination was after the meeting. Mike did a beautiful job. He said in the blessing that there were others on the other side if the veil who were also standing in the circle.  It was so special to be there with Dave!

We went to a tea shop and a chocolate store while the guys were at a training meeting.  I think we had more fun than they did.  I loved this picture so much I made each a 8x10 framed and gave it to them for Christmas.

Halloween

The Green kids and Halloween  we missed it all because we went to Geeat Falls to be with Dave for his ordination.
