Haylee
Haylee started mowing the lawn this year. Those girls are amazing, because they have an amazing mom! Hard little workers!
The dryer cupboard is GONE
Mom and I talked about replacing her old dryer that she used for a kitchen cupboard in the cabin so we went to Home Depot and bought a do it yourself cupboard. We took it up and I thought the boys would put it together for her but they didn't get a chance to so I put it together this year and it makes a huge difference in her kitchen.. Its so cute!

Our new camper
I was driving home after dropping mom off for her hair appointment last month and saw a nice 5th wheel camper on the road for sale. I stopped and looked at it and it was perfect for us. Kalen helped me clean up our motor home and get it up for sale and it sole within 6 hours! So we got the camper. Then to find out our pickup really isn't a 3/4 ton and wouldn't pull it so we ended up looking for a week for a new pickup. We finally found a one ton for $500 and we put a $900 transmission in it and cleaned it up and we are ready to go!! The coverings were pretty ugly so I recovered them and made pillows to match. Its so dang cute!!!

Lightning Strikes
I was out mowing the lawn and was watching as this storm slowly rolled its way toward me. I got done mowing and was just finishing up weed wacking when I looked up and saw this ugly black cloud but thought I might have time for 5 more minutes. Then as I was almost done I hear this HUGE clap of thunder over the sound of the weed wacker which was already so loud. Tex dropped to the ground and I got the eeriest feeling I've ever had and lighting struck directly after the clap of thunder. I hurried onto the porch and was thinking that that was close, maybe somewhere between Jes' house and ours. The next week as I was mowing the lawn I drove past this tree and I WAS SHOCKED to find this! There were pieces of burnt bark all over the yard up to about 50 feet from this tree. I will never feel safe in a thunder storm again!!! I was only about 40 yards away from this tree when it got struck!

Out little Killdeer
Every year we have killdeers come and nest on the driveway. But every year the stinking magpies get their eggs. This one was here for almost her entire incubation period, but each day I would check there'd be another egg missing.. Then there were none. Poor little girl!!
