Aubrie was thrown from a horse in a race on Dec 23. I flew out to spend the week with her. I had originally planned on bringing her kids out on the 31st, but I changed my flight when she got taken to the hospital and had Jes bring the kids on the 31st. I spent 4 days with her in the hospital and then we brought her home and Jes flew in with the kids that afternoon. It was pretty cramped in her camper so Jes and I changed our flight and came home then Jes flew back out to fly home with the kids the following Friday. It was a little stressful but I was just glad her surgery and hospital stay went well. Jes and I decided to go spend the night at the airport as our flight would leave early Monday morning so we got to the airport and tried to get through security so we could feel safe and sleep in at the gate but since our ticket wasn't for the following morning we couldn't get through and had to stay in the lobby of the airport. It was FREEZING in New Orleans ( not something that is too common there) and we were layering on our clothes from our suitcases to keep warm. I cant believe how cold it was and we were all night!!!!!! BRRRRRRRRRRRR
But we got through security and hoped that it would be warmer at the gate. NOT!
We didn't get warm until we got on the flight to SLC.
